Adam Bender received his BA in Professional Studies from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in 2007 before completing his JD at the University of Tulsa in 2014. Prior to attending law school, Adam worked as an oil and gas land manager in Texas focusing primarily on clearing residential drilling sites. During law school, Adam served on the Energy Law Journal while also working as a licensed abstractor in Oklahoma. In addition, Adam began working for the U.S. Department of Energy in June 2014 serving as a member of the Office of General Counsel at Southwestern Power Administration handling property matters, employment litigation and energy development projects. In April 2015, Adam transitioned to the Division of Reliability Compliance and Transmission Policy to handle NERC and FERC related issues, specifically focusing on Order 693 compliance, as well as transmission policy topics for Southwestern. Adam is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association and Tulsa County Bar Association.
